Anca Segall

Anca Segall, Ph.D., is a professor of microbiology on the faculty of SDSU and a newcomer to creative writing. Her narrative nonfiction piece “The Deaf Icon” was published in Open Thought Vortex, her poems have appeared or will appear in The Coachella Review, The Icarus Anthology, the front page of Poetry Circle, and Sediments Literary Arts Journal. Also, one of her poems won LCk Press’ Summer 2017 Poetry Contest 2017. She loves to travel, listen to Joni Mitchell and industrial music tinged with a Leonard Cohen sensibility, and drink single malt scotch.
