Alexandra Bergheim

An accountant by profession, Alexandra discovered writing first as a form of catharsis, a way to make sense of language and memory, and later as a space for close reading and craft. An immigrant from former Soviet Union fluent in English and Russian, she writes about cultural inheritance and the complicated ways in which memory affects experience often exploring the enchantment within the tyranny of everyday life and the beauty and grace involved in loss. Her work has appeared in AvantART arts magazine, HOWL literary magazine and Route 7 Review.
