Jon Shorr
After being told that his seniority as a public school teacher made him too expensive to keep on the payroll, Jon Shorr went back to school, got his Ph.D., and taught college. At some point, he retired, largely to have more time to try to write. His fiction, essays, and articles have been published in The William and Mary Review, Cagibi, Pangyrus, Tricycle, and elsewhere, and he’s won awards from the Writers Alliance of Gainesville, Stories That Need to be Told, and The Baltimore Sun. He currently produces a weekly podcast for Passager Books.
