Mitchell Warnken
Mitchell Warnken, who grew up in the Queen City, earned his bachelor’s in English at the University of North Carolina—Charlotte and his MFA from Queens University. He has since relocated to artsy and writerly Missoula, Montana, and has dreamed of being a novelist since writing about a dirt pile in the first grade.
He strives to use poetry to raise awareness and support for marginalized issues, such as mental health and LGBT voices. His work has been featured in The Mighty, Flipboard, Time 4 Change, Sanskrit Magazine, Medium.com, and elsewhere. When he is not writing, he can be found bending the spine of a Stephen King novel or hiking up a hill somewhere.
