Composition in White, Rockland Maine

By Edward Sheehy

Posted on November 4, 2022

A white gull cuts across a snowfield
turns up the coast and is gone
sea and sky cry achromatic blues
neatly punctuated
by a full lunar face at the point of exclamation!

– Edward Sheehy

SUMMER 2025 SUBMISSION PERIOD DELAYED TO JUNE 1

We’ve postponed the start of our summer reading period to June 1 so that we can work through our remaining submissions from Dec and Jan. Thanks for understanding, and keep an eye out for Submittable to be open for submissions on June 1!

PRINT ANTHOLOGIES!

We’ve released several print anthologies! Please check it out (as well our previous ones) and maybe even spread the word and/or purchase some? We’d be very grateful and humbled 😁

Give and Receive!

We still have leftover stock from AWP, so if you hit the support us! button below and donate $20 or more, you’ll receive a free 2014, 2015, or 2016 print anthology (your choice, obviously) and a free magnet (upon request)!! What are you waiting for? 😁
