Jane Hegstrom

Jane Hegstrom is currently working on memoir pieces about her midwestern childhood in the mid-1950s and a collection of essays on aging. She is a graduate of the Masters of Writing Program at Johns Hopkins University. Her writing has appeared in Little Patuxent Review, BoomerLit, Flint Hills Review, Potomac Review, 5×5, and Bookends Review. Her work has been nominated for inclusion in the Pushcart Prize Collection. Jane has a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Colorado at Boulder with specializations in social psychology and gender. Her academic writing has appeared in Sex Roles, Discourse Analysis: A Multidisciplinary Journal, and Women’s Studies: An Interdisciplinary Journal.
