Patricia Holland
Patricia Holland of Paris, Kentucky, went to work for the National Geographic Society when she was 17. She graduated from high school one week before she went to work for the Society, and she worked there for over 25 years. She started as a proofreader and ended as an editor. Along the way, she treasured the writing advice she got from well-known authors like E.B. White, plus advice from the excellent writers and editors who worked for the National Geographic Society.
