Susan Monas

Susan Monas is a clinical social worker in private practice in Seattle and the mother of three children. Her essay “Fighting for Motherland” appeared in NPR’s This I Believe: On Motherhood (Jossey-Bass, 2012). Her stories and poetry have appeared in Drash, as well as on the Op-Ed pages of the Seattle Post Intelligencer. She was also audio-taped by KUOW morning show in 1996 for her memoir, My Father’s Hannukah Gift. Susan is currently working on another memoir, Life on the Border, about her family’s sabbatical year living in an Israeli border town.
