James Norcliffe
NZ poet James Norcliffe has published ten poetry collections, including Shadow Play (2013), Dark Days at the Oxygen Café (VUP, 2016), and Deadpan (Otago UP, 2019). His new collection, The Museum of Unnatural History (Otago University Press), will come out next year.
Recent work has appeared in Landfall, Spillway, Rhino, Salamander, Gargoyle, and Flash Fiction International (Norton, 2015). With Michelle Elvy and Frankie McMillan, he edited Bonsai (Canterbury University Press, 2018), New Zealand’s first major collection of flash and other short forms. This year, with Michelle Elvy & Paula Morris, Ko Aotearoa Tatou /We Are New Zealand (Otago UP), an anthology celebrating New Zealand’s diversity in the wake of the 2019 Christchurch massacre.
