Karen Bowers
When photography converted from film to digital, Karen Bowers retired as a commercial/corporate photographer and sallied forth to the Florida Keys where she reinvented herself as a destination marketer. She promoted and directed a successful southernmost beach launch dragon boat race until relocating to Arizona. “All I remember are rodeo clowns and a lot of tequila” is her explanation for moving on. When she’s not writing from a 1914 hermitage, she works as an attendant on a heritage railroad rolling through Sycamore Canyon in Yavapai County.
