Ronald Milburn
In eighth grade, Ronald Milburn’s English teacher laid his graded essay on his desk. In red ink across the top, she wrote, “Never stop writing!” He never forgot her encouraging words. After high school, he attended college and simultaneously worked at a funeral home. After graduating from college, he married, worked as a building contractor and ordained minister, raised four children, and rushed through life. Now, he is retired and the primary caregiver for his mother, who has Alzheimer’s disease. Fifty years after Mrs. Herman’s encouraging words, he is still writing and never plans to stop.
